BX 24/26 Muscle

I just helped my father purchase a new BX2660 with a loader, weight box and 54" MMM. The price difference between the 23 and the 26 was $210.

Yep $210 buck thats it. Needless to say he is the proud new owner of a BX2660.

Now he is 'borrowing' all my implements. I came home Saturday afternoon to find him in the truck with my Woods landscape rake in the bed. AH well, they paid for college, I guess I owe him and Mom something! Ha ha ha.

The WRX is a great car, and 265 HP is a lot of power, but doesn't knowing the STI is out there with 305 HP just.... ;)
Smarta??.:D Not for the difference in money and the difference in 0-60. Like 1 or 2 tenths of a second for $6 to $10 thousand more and that's what I love about it. I'm 61 and after about 110 different cars I do want one that won't beat me to death but one that will beat just about everything else on the road. Enjoy the puzzled looks of "what is that thing that old man is driving".:) Maybe I'll grow up one day.

OT but, same here. I've two red diesels. The 1988 Ford E350 7.3L diesel will smoke anything off the line, given a head start :) I can't count the number of times I've floored it on the freeway and literally smoked (black cloud) a car behind me. My new JSW TDI is quiet, unassumeable, and will frequently lay rubber from stoplights. I too get the looks of "how the HE!! did he do that?".
But break-in is almost over, got to slow it down :)

Just to chime in, let me say, I've had my BX24 for 1 1/2 years and the only time I needed a bit more was when I was pulling some boulders. Not rocks. These were huge. Barely fit in the bucket. I ended up putting a chain around them and pulled them, no problem. I was trying to set them in a rock wall and it was tough to roll with the FEL. They were very heavy. That task probably required a little more tractor, but outside of that job, the BX has performed flawlessly. More important than HP or size is seat time.

LBrown59, you can chime in anytime.

The more seat time you get, the better you can finesse the machine. I can do things now after 150 hours that I couldn't do with 5 hours. Just being able to get a full bucket every time, cuts work time down considerably. Use it, use it and use it.
BTW, the hard part is convincing your wife it's work.

Now I feel better.:) According to Car and Driver the 09 WRX is faster than the WRX STI and $10000 less. Plus it's #1 Fastest 09 under $30000 at 4.7sec 0-60mph.:D
