I have a B-2710 with position control. When lowering the 3point control there is no down pressure not just in the float position but throughout the full range of the control. Is this normal or do I have a problem:confused:
Thanks for any imformation.

Milkman said it all.

Welcome to TBN. It's good to see another Coloradoan. Seems like most folks on the board are east of the Mississippi.

A 3 point don't have down pressure nor a float position.

...When lowering the 3point control there is no down pressure...

What are you needing down pressure for? Some attachments have hydraulics on them that run off of Rear Remotes.

My old B7100D had a switch (valve) that when you rotated it 180 degrees the 3-point had down pressure instead of up pressure (I never did use it though)

I really wonder how much value down pressure would be on a CUT. No doubt it might help in some cases but in others think as light as CUT or even smaller tractors you would loose enough traction to stop you if pulling such as with a disk and if such as post hole digger you may even pick up the rear of the tractor to where it is not stable. NOW, all of that is based upon my thinking have never used any tractor with down pressure on the lift.

A neighbor is going to plant a few rows of trees for a wind brake and the fabric mulch is layed with a 3pt attachment. The neighbor say's the attachment needs 3pt down pressure.

I would try to add weights to the attachment. But, I'm sure you thought of that already.

Can you take a picture of the attachment? Or tell us the make and model? If we see it, maybe someone here would have other ideas.
