It takes 53 HP to pump 26 GPM at 3000 psi, so if you run that engine at 2500 rpm. you will need a pump with 2.4 cu in.

You need to figure the gear box, to pull that load.

A hydraulic motor of 2.4 cu in, at 3000 psi, will have 1,146 in lbs.of torque , 2403 rpm motor speed at 100 %

That part was easy, the hard part is to figure out the gear ratio, and drum size, and cable size to winch 35,400 lbs. For instance, my electric Ramsey 9000, uses a 3/8 in cable, but it will only pulls 9000 lbs on the first layer on the drum.

How about telling us what it is you are trying to pull, and is it a rolling load or a static load. or is this just a test question.

You do know, that with the proper gear ratio, you can just about move anything. IE, torque multiplier.

26gpm and 3000 psi is not 53hp. it's 44.5 ?

With all due respect, I think you are wrong. Click on this site, select hydraulics, look to your Left and select tech help, then select calculator, then select HP. Insert 26 GPM, and 3000, and you will see the results.
