Unless you have a very large area to do, the pull behind lawn sweepers like this Sears model seem to get good reviews.

The estate rake only windrows the material, it does not pick it up like a tow behind sweeper.

That's pretty much a rake like what we used to use for bailing hay. They work well. I assume that they have smaller tine spacing if meant for yard work, since the clippings are so much shorter than hay stalks. Plus, like what was said before, you still have to pick up the wind row.

I have one of those and it works good, but the wheels occassionally get stuck because they're too small in diameter which is a PITA.
