Are any of you running biodiesel in your NH tractor?

I think the first diesel engine ever built ran on peanut oil. Soy oil is also verry good. In my area 2 new bio plants have shut down because they can not produce bio as cheap as diesel is now.

b20 at the bayco stations is at 2.05 as of today.had been 1.93 for previous month.regular unleaded is at 1.93 currently.all other stations price on road around 2.35 here.
I just received delivery of 55 gallons of the red Dino fuel the other day .
$1.84 per gallon.
No way would I want to pay $2.05 to 2.35. per gallon for fuel.
The $1.84 I paid is already more than enough.

Some of us are running it with no choice.. some places have started blending it.

I know I lost alot of orings in my fuel system a while back.. and i attribute it to that blend..

I'm about to finally. The company says it's good for B100 and that's what I am getting delivered. It's only 10 cents cheaper than dino diesel but a dime is a dime and I do go through a lot of it during the haying season!

I only got 500 hours on my tractor now and the fuel system is clean as a whistle after the fiasco with the dealer last year. Rebuilt injector pump, new fuel pump, all new hoses, REALLY clean tank. I don't think I should have any problems but just wondering if any of you are using it.

yes folks are tempted to run off road in on road vehicles.it is done!virginia state police dot officers have a problem with that to the tune of 1,000 fines after dipping your tank.the red dye residue never escapes their test eqpt.i am a small user of diesel in my tractor.ive been usind bio since its purchase 3 yrs ago.red fuel does enter its tank.bio aside,i truly miss the sulfur lubricity
available in pre 07 fuel.ulsd is squeaky dry.bio is not.just my two cents worth.

I built a horse ring last fall for a guy that had a good size case (Around 30 horse?) and while I was there the tractor tec came out to work on it. He had to install a new injection pump do to the poor lubricating properties of the bio fuel. The inside of the old pump looked like some of the old metal fuel tanks we dig out that have bin buried for 50 years! It was rusty and all pitted with black goo and metal shavings. It cost the guy over $3k to straiten out. I forgot to ask him if he is going to use Bio again. I will not be using it, Just can't put up with that kind of hassle!
