Throttle assembly on Cub 1863 / 1864

Can someone take some pictures of their Cub Cadet 1863 or 1864 throttle assembly for me. A spring fell off the underside while replacing the throttle cable and it is not obvious where it goes.

I looked over my 1864 and the attached photos are the best I could do in the tight confines of the underside of the instrument panel.

I should have been more clear, The spring fell off the underside of the lingage at the carb, not at the control panel.

Can I trouble you for another picture or two?

I know! It's filthy mess. Unfortunately, I've done less than an acceptable job of keeping my tractor clean and maintained since I bought it back in 2002. I bought it not because I specifically wanted a CC, but because I needed a tractor to use around the house we bought back in 2002 that really needed a lot of yard cleanup and outdoor maintenance. For me, it was just another 'tool' like a rake or shovel. It's only since I've been coming to this site that I realize what a great tractor it truly is and what it's capable of. Because of you guys I now have a renewed sense of pride in it -largely because I see how passionately you guys love your Cubs!

Ken if you use it make sure your tractor stays wet as it can streak if left to dry. I only leave it on for most about a minute. And even then I will mist over it with the pressure washer. You won't believe what it will do to clean it up without any effort on your part.

I've washed her a few times in the last 6 years, but never given her the full 'once-over' that she really needs. The whole engine compartment and under-frame is filthy. Years and years of hard work I guess. I'll be giving her a good cleaning this spring. The problem now is that I've developed several rust spots where the paint has chipped or flaked off leaving exposed metal. A byproduct of MTD's crappy paint process I suspect. Did MTD ever get around to powder coating their tractors? I have come across a litany of complaints about the poor paint quality of MTD products over the years. The 551 snow blower that I bought brand new (never used and still on the pallet) was beautiful when I brought it home, but now looks terrible due to large sections of paint flaking off. If I could get it done inexpensively, I'd tear it down in the off season and have it sand blasted and powder coated. Same for the tractor.

Ken if you still have the tractor can i trouble you for some pictures. I got this 1864 in peaces and trying to put back together. all the front linkage and plates where taken apart. can you please take some pictures of the underside of the linkage on both sides so i can see where they all go and bolt into? thanks a lot.
