I'm thinking of upgrading from a 1430 to a 1445. I don't really want to replace my arsenal of attachments, however. I was wondering how feasible it would be to mount a t-12 QA to the loader arms on a 1445. I know I would have to be careful not to overpower the lighter attachments with the bigger tractor,(yea right). Anyway, the loader arms on the 1430 are 16" apart on center and .75" thick. Was hoping someone with a 1445 would measure their's for comparison. Thanks.

Make an adapter adapter. Front plate from the PT1430 and a quick attach plate from a 1445. Weld them together. You could actually extend your reach a little.

I was thinking the other way around. How much difference is there in the sizes? Could the old implements' QA plates be opened up for the bigger machine?

My older 1445 has 16 in centers, and the arms are 3/4 in.

My way you can go back and forth between machines and you only have to make/modify one thing. You idea is OK to.

If I were you (and I might be in this scenero late when we buy our PT) I would take the T18 adapter off and remove the T12 plate off your 1430 (unless you still plan to use your 1430) and attach it to the 1445. What's it mounted on the loader arms with, bolts? If so it could work. Take it from a guy who has never seen a Power-Trac in person.

LOL, and when you graduate, you'll have a career in sales in Tazewell, VA. :p ;)

No Sir, that young man will have to change his attitude if he wants to work for PT. The only answer I could get out of Tazewell, to the same question was, we don't recommend it. I can kind of understand, for liability reasons, why they can't say it's OK to put the weaker QA on the bigger tractor.
