Price Check MF 1533 and 1540 Pricing

I am getting ready to purchase by first tractor and have some pricing questions. I am looking at a 1533 4x4 Loader for 20,500 and 1540 4x4 Loader for 22,500 at a dealer in Mississippi. 0% for 72 months. However, a guy I know purchased a 1533 last year for 17,500 and another guy bought a 1540 for 18,000. They bought the exact same tractors that I am looking at now. They also got them for 0% financing. So, with economy the way it is, I would think the prices would go down, not up. Are my current prices reasonable and why did the prices increase so much. Thanks

The dealer you are getting those prices from is cheaper than me, so I would say your getting a good price.
And yes prices went way up this year not way down

Yeah, those prices sound about right. Were your friends tractors last year standard shuttles or power shuttles? That would make a difference too.

I think they were standard shuttles, but am not certain.

That's what I paid for my 1540 Powershuttle in November of '07.

just bought my 1533 with skid steer fel dl 120 loader large r4 tires loaded heavy duty bucket with cutting edge power shuttle which is really sweet paid 22900 so i guess i did alright

I've been quoted $20,900 for a 1533 with the SynchroShuttle and $22,900 for a 1540 with the PowerShuttle. Another MF dealer was at $23,900 for the 1540 and PowerShuttle.

Pay the $2,000 more for the 1540 and Powershuttle. Over the length of the life of the tractor that $2K will be peanuts compared to the benefits.
