I am thinking Ebay or Craigslist. I wouldnt know where to start on price. I asked my old man to email me the pictures so I can post them.

Thanks
JB

What is the mower? Where are you located?

The "mower" is the shredder. I couldnt remember how to spell shredder..working too much. I live in Dallas. My parents place is about an hour west of Dallas. If you are interested, let me know.

As far as the paint...it is gone around the engine, I am assuming where the diesel ignited. Most of the tractor still has the paint.

I am assuming

1) the bucket in decent condition (not much of an assumption)
2) shredder is probably functional, but may need seals/gaskets in the gearbox
3) the transmission is still good
4) the transfer case and half-shafts are usable
5) the engine may or may not be good, depends if it got hot enought to warp the head

I am thinking it will bring $1000...what do you all think? If I can prove the engine will turn over, maybe more?

I'd suggest posting some pictures.

If the mower is OK just clean it up paint it new oil and grease and reuse it that will save you some money toward new tractor.

Yes, that is a burned tractor. It definitely got quite hot. I dont know how much of the tractor will be usable at all. I would be thinking in the hundreds rather than a thousand for a value.

Wow, looks like a total loss. I guess the bucket might be worth something to someone, The bush hog might be able to be salvaged and rebuilt if the heat didnt warp it. The rest of the tractor, sorry to say looks gone.

Really? I was thinking the transmission, housing, transfer case would be worth something...maybe not. I guess I could advertise it exactly as it is and let others make thier own conclusions. Anyone else?

It's really bad, maybe just scrap metal value. I've seen things burn, where parts are still good. This is not the case here, the tires are almost gone. The entire tractor got really hot.

There was a wheeled trimmer that was in the barn on the left. It had an aluminum block that melted. I just looked up the melting point of aluminium...its around 1200 F.
