I just bought some new lynch pins, and wanted to make sure I didn't lose them when I'm out in the woods or field. It's probably been done before....

There were welded on loops on my 3 point arms, so I used old keyrings and some small chain to keep tabs on things.

I found myself stuffing the pins in my pockets, then fumbling for them later, so I'm happy with the outcome!

You can also get some of the heavy duty black lynch pins that takes an effort to get them open. I have snapped my thumb with a regular lynch pin, but you would be in trouble if one of the heavy duty ones pops you.

I currently have a JD-2640 and on the adjustment housings for the drag links, they put in 2 ea loops to put your lynch pins in. I had an older international tractor and just welded some nuts to the adjustments arms. They worked fine as well. Looking at your pictures, I was just a little concerned with that much loose chain hanging down and catching on something.

Yeah, I wasn't sure how much to put on there. Better to start with too much, then cut some off, no?

My dirt scoop has the pins pointing inward, so the extra chain wound up being useful there.

On my JD they gave me loops on the arms that you drop the pins into, then snap them over to hold. I still tend to set them on the tire where they stay until I drive off....
