The control arms on my 1210 PTO suddeny stopped lifting. They can be raised by hand but fall to the bottom position.

The front hydraulics work fine.

Can you give a sequence of itmes to check.

Something is preventing hyd flow to your lift piston. Raising the 3 point arm pull the piston ram rod connected rockshaft backward hence allowing it to be raised. I'll loosen up the relief plug on your lift piston head assembly to see if I have any flow with 5 gall bucket to collect the oil if any. My suspicion is that lift spool has some blockage.

JC,

Picture below shows where I measured hyd pressure to my lift cylinder. normally there is a plug there and not a gage. I'll take the plug out and put a bucket to collect oil. watch for high pressure if you allow only partial flow.

JC,
Thanks for your help. I'll try to find the blockage.

JC has given you good advice to start with.

also.. before someone calls you on it.. your pto is the power take off shaft .. and it should'nt raise.. only your 3pt should. ;)

You may have blown the seal on the lift piston, but usualy it will still raise some with a bad seal. What were you doing when it quit working.

On my TC40D the 3PH will not lift if one of the rear remotes is activated to a dead end and is popping the relief. Drove me crazy the first time it happened - one of my rear remotes has a detent that catches the lever but it doesn't even look like the lever is engaged.

I'm surprised. The new units must not have the deluxe remotes that pop out when relief pressure hits. that's one feature I like about the remotes on my 7610s.. kick the valve to lift the wings and when they get up it kicks out automagically.

Hey DodHeb,

My father has a problem with his TC40D. I'm wondering if it might be similar to what you had. He can't raise his 3 pt hitch but his rear remote also has no pressure. Front bucket works fine. He was rototilling and after one sucessful pass both suddenly stopped working. Could it be that he tripped the relief switch? Unfortunately I'm 1000 miles south of him and he doesn't use computers. Any help you could give would be great.
Thanks.

If I put the rear remote lever back to the neutral position, everything works OK. It's just sometimes a little sneaky because just looking at the remote you would think it was in neutral, but a little wiggling and it goes back to neutral.
