Where is the most useful place for some hooks.. I picked up three last night, figure on the bucket. Just looking for some opinions...

Maybe place 3 hooks on the bucket...one on each end & one in middle...always good to have hook for the rear.

I figure i'll make a hitch / hook combo for the back.. I see some people have made thier hooks removeable.. Have you ever taken them off since, i was going to weld them right to the bucket...

I welded 3 onto bucket.

Mine is bolt on type and I had it bolted near ends. I installed it before Bxpanded came out with a removable type. The reason I put near edge , I felt it was stronger there and didnt want a bent middle. There were times when I wanted to lift something from middle and knew it wasnt heavy, I wish I had hooks in the middle.

Three hooks on a bucket sounds like having three forks to eat dinner...
I put two on the BACK of the bucket so I can lay a 4 X 4 across the top and run the chain over that. This way, I can just roll the bucket backwards or forwards for better control.

I would suggest welding an additional 4 x 4 1/4 plate and welding the hooks to the plate. I believe that two hooks on the end, and a 2 in receiver on the center top, for those extras. Boom pole, hay spears, ball for moving trailers, etc. If you do a search for hooks, and receivers, through the post, there are lots of examples.

Please do not weld on the outer edges of the bucket... Best placement for strength is inline with the loader arms. Placing at the outer edges could leave you vulnerable for uneven loads to twist your loader or bucket into an uneven position. See placement. We use a self-locking chain hook.

I welded my hooks even with the arms. I made the hooks able to swivel. I was kind of worried at first that they may not be strong enough. But they have not let me down yet! These are not the best pictures but it's all I got right now.
