Hmmm???

i'll have to do a little experiment and get it in pucker mode and see what happens.

I frequently raise both front tires off the ground with the bucket curl and back-drag ball diamonds with just the back tires pulling. The front tires will spin slowly as the backs pull me along. If I get too much material under the rear lip of the bucket it will usually stop the tractor and spin the rear tires. This is on a PT425.

I do the same thing when back-dragging snow with the plow in winter.

Here's a video example of it, only going forward.

You can see that as I push into the dirt, I am in float mode. The bucket bites into the soil and the front tires lift off the ground and spin while the rear tires want to push the tractor up and over the lift arms. I take it out of float, lower the front tires a bit and continue.

Here's another example. I'm moving a huge log with the right rear wheel off the ground. I didn't even know it until after a few feet. :)

MR- thanks for clarifying. I'm not sure that it would have occurred to me to look for the bushing!

Well, OK, perhaps when the blades weren't spinning well...

All the best,

Peter

Well guys, today I'm getting my chance to check out a 1430 today.
Apparently the guy that owns a 1445 in Mayville also had a 1430 so I might try both, you know, do a comparison.

I'll have some video later.

I can't wait!

(Also check out my new avatar!)

Okay so I didn't get to try a PT.
This is what happened; Called Ted, his wife or someone answers. "Is Ted there?" "No he passed away" :(
That was weird and sad at the same time. Sad because he died and weird because I wasn't expecting it.
Be yesterday was Ok. I got to look at a Toolcat, again :D

So, you express your condolences to widow and ask, "Will you be selling the Power Tracs?" ;)
