How to slow down hyd cyl travel

I have a Bush Hog 742H backhoe on a NH TC33D tractor hooked to the tractor hydraulics.

Even with the tractor rpms only at about 1100, the side to side backhoe swing it way too fast. Is there some easy way to slow this down? Some flow restrictor or something?

On a previous backhoe I installed blunt fittings in line with the cyls. you drill a small hole in the fitting and the place in line, slows down the flow of oil and therefore slows down responsiveness. I installed them on my swing cyl.

I'll defer to the experts on the proper way to slow it down but I previously was advised to used smaller flex lines to function as restrictors on my T&T. It works fine.

Get a Adjustable Flow Valve that way you can fine tune the speed you want.

get the schematics for it alot of the valves have flow controls built in and just sitting there

Sorry for the above. Tompkins makes restricted orifice fittings. They are made specifically to do what you want.

Here is an adjustable restrictor like Kenny describes. This is a Parker P600
steel....the one on the right. You only need one, but finding a place to
mount it is little harder.....

My hoe swings plenty fast, too, even with 1/4" hoses all around. I usually
try to operate another valve at the same time so flow is shared.
