Disposal/Use of Old Gas?

I cut it 50/50 with old deisel & keep it in a sprayer for Wasps in the out buildings . Of Coarse You have to be carefull when Spraying, Wear goggles & NO smoking . I Wont spray it around the house either except in the critter holes . Also makes a Quick weed killer for outside areas . . Bob

I'd mix in with fresh, or the fun way......ant beds and matches. Just poke a hole in the bed with a sharp stick first.

My wife says it's tough raising a 10 year old husband.

I've mixed old gas with new and burned as well.

I just puleld an old 1954 naa out of my shed that has sat for 4-5 years and had about 2g of old gas in it.. I dumped in another couple gallons and some mmo and let her run.. no problems....

My Ortho Western Gardens Book, circa 1950, recommends old gasoline for spot weed treatment along walkways and drives...

Application is by pouring...

If you don't mix and burn it in your mower, be sure to keep a gallon of it around for parts cleaning.
I re-use gas several times because the deposits filter down to the bottom. Then I use that old gas to clean off oily surfaces I need to work on. It's always good to have a little old fashioned degreaser like that for odd clean up jobs before working on the parts.

First and foremost, I will use it somehow- mixed for lawnmowers -weedkiller, or in the truck, as many of the past posters have said.
But if you find yourself with some BAD gas and you live in a weed free state- I have a 5 gallon gas can I put my old motor oil in, to transport it to the authorized disposal places (in my case, work) I just add it to it, or use it to help clean out the gas can. Anyway, recycling it with the used motor oil is OK in my state.

used motor oil will likely be gas contaminated anway...

One thing not mentioned.. If it's very old and contaminated, you can donate it to a local business that has a waste oil burner..a little old gas in waste oil works fine. Everything is filtered before it gets to the furnace.
