My B8200 has a D950 motor. It has been leaking oil for some time now. Today, I removed the side panels, loaded it on the trailer, and took it to the car wash. Some degreaser and pressure wash cleaned it up.

I just fired it up and took it off the trailer. With a clean engine it was easy to see it start leaking(oosing) right away. It is coming from a seal where the oil filter mounts. It appears this mount is about 1/2" thick, and has two bolts holding it on the side of the block. The oil filter then screws on to this "block".

does anyone have a manual that shows the D950 motor? I have the service manual and owners manual. They give direction on splitting the tractor, working on all the parts, EXCEPT the engine...

I have gasket material and sealer.

I just fear if I remove this block, internal parts might come falling out

In the automotive world, the block would be called the oil filter adapter.I seriously doubt any parts would come flying out at you if you removed it.Hey,it needs fixed doesn't it?Take it apart carefully and see what you need to do,gasket,o-rings,etc.Good Luck!

Took it off... Three springs and five ballbearings went all over the place.

No, not really.

It is just a plate, with two o-rings, one on each of the two oil ports. Taking it to Kubota in a few minutes. I talked to the local dealer; they wanted to look at it to make sure we're talking the same parts. they said they may need to order them though... I am sure if they do not have them, I could get same size from NAPA. They are orings about 20mm in diameter. It's the thickness that may be a challenge...

replaced the orings, bolted it together. Tried it before changing oil in case I leaked a bunch all over. Everything looks ok.

Just finishing new fan belt, oil, oil filter, air filter, and fuel filter. Starting to put the side panels back on.

Sounds like everythings good now? Cool.

Ya, got it all together. Put the loader back on, put the rotary mower on. Mowed for about 1/2 hour.

I usually never take my loader off, but it is nice to get it out of the way for maintenance. It is a quick attach. When I bought it, I never thought it would come off, but for this it is nice.
