Clamp-on bucket forks on a Bx --- Worthwhile?

I bought a pair of chain on forks off of ebay.....paid around $200. They are a great addition. I use them to carry hay on a pallet, I use them to move implements around when needed, I used them to haul fence posts when I was buildig my fence, I used them to haul downed wood...and I really tested them and my rig when I lifted a pallet containing 660 lbs of Ramm fence materials and moved it from my driveway to the new pasture area.

Something every tractor owner should have in my opinion.

BX23
AS much as the tractor FEL will lift.
I really don't know what that is pound wise.

as per my BX24 manual it can lift Loader can lift 235 lbs. keep in mind that the manual doesnt state minus the bucket and forks wieghts or is this on top of the weight bucket weights ? So I am going to "assume"

BX can lift about 200lbs or so. I have loaded 6 bags of sand into the bucket 55lbs each at one time so its over 300lbs and it was too heavy for the tractor but it lifted anyway.

I believe that's 235KG or 517lbs. Mine picks up waaay more than 300#.

I agree with C6Rider on the stats. Lift capacity varies by model. The Bx1500 (LA181-1 or LA181-2 loader) is rated at 400# with 770# breakout force. The Bx1800, Bx1830, Bx2200 and the Bx2230 (LA211-1 or LA211-2 loader) is rated at 460# with a 950# breakout force. Most people find they can lift more than the stated capacity. I think this is because the measurements were taken at the front lip of the bucket. In actual practice, a load is usually centered in the bucket. For comparison, my Bx2230 will lift 700# without any signs of strain. I would be very careful traversing with a load like this, and would stay on level ground with a heavy counterweight, of course.

Just for info the Kubota loaders model numbers are pretty close to their rated capacity in kilograms. So for an approximate capacity in pounds for us in the USA just multiply your model number by 2.2
