PTO out on 1320

I have lost the PTO on my NH 1320 hst. It will not engage properly when I move the lever into place. It began to jump out while rototilling.

Advice? Please?

You have damage to the shift collar and/or sliding gears in the PTO driveline. The 3PT hitch cover will have to come off, and possibly the rear axle center section split from the transmission to swap out the failed parts.

Thank-you. This was the clarity I was hoping for and I was told that Rick B would have it for me.

I will look into this shortly. At the same time, am I in imminent danger of causing further damage if I operate the tractor without engaging the rear PTO?

The belly PTO seems fine.

Further damage is not likely unless you have a hydraulic or hydrostatic filter plugged with metal filings.
