If you will have to spend $10,000 to solve this issue, that could pay for a lot of mowing. However you may count the mowing as enjoyment and not losing anything by spending time there doing the mowing.

But if the grass grows this much ( a foot every two weeks) is there a grass that would be as well that would not grow so fast? If you have not checked on that I really would. We have one of the Zoysia's and it will grow about 3 or so inches a week with right temp and rain but don't think it would grow a foot tall if never mowed.

Our grass is just normal field grass, its in the mountains and along a creek. There are ALOT of underground springs the feeds the grass to grow.

Id say after a week, there is maybe 500 sq ft that is about 6" and the rest is 4". The more rain we get the faster it grows of course.

The time that we got quoted last summer was for $140 for the front area. There still the back few acres that need mower (which I would consider doing with our brush hog and our tractor.)

Our Encore is a great mower, its just not made for the tall grasses.

Well it turns our or Encore has been done for 3 weeks and just sitting there. The tech that was working on it kept telling the owner that he kept trying to call us.

So they are coving the repairs/ maintenance for free on their cost, and firing the tech that was working on ours.

The owner also said that our mower is fine for us, so we will probably just keep it
