Not for me. If I had to have one trailer it would be a 14K low profile BP about 24' long with slide in ramps and a wood deck. It would have a rail like a landscape trailer. To each his own I guess.

If you had to have one, why wouldn't you get your max load possible? In this case, dual 12k axles. That's what we have, and they're single wheel. The tires and wheels are all rated for that.

If i was just using the b3030 tlb I would not need a ramp, combination of the FEL and BH get you on pretty quick, but the ztr cant quite do it, lol. I built a 1 piece ramp that spans the width of trailer. Its a good pull to put it in place but way better than lugging around those angle iron ramps. I built the entire thing for less than 60 bucks including the hinge. thats the old bx 23 on there,

On of the reasons I went to deck over was when my bro pulled his brand new 1/2ton PU up to the back of my old drop deck 84" between fenders trailer and it was too wide to get on with factory tires. I realized then I was severely limited.

Do you mean 2 ea 6k axles for 12k total? Dual (or more correctly tandem 12k axles) would equate to a 24k rated trailer:eek:

how about: find a small hill.

if there is none, just unhook the trailer and drive it off the back. It magicaly becomes a tilt trailer. :D

...If my ramps were full width when I pull a car up to the ramp they would hit the bumper or something in the middle on the ramp first before the tires come in contact with the ramp because of the steepness.

Got it.

Thanks for the further detail.

how about: find a small hill.

As a teenager, I hauled horses all over the county, and all I ever had was a pickup truck with a stock rack. I never used a loading chute once. There was always either a hill I could back up to or a hole I could put the back wheels in. I still use the contour of the land to my advantage as much as possible even when using ramps to load and unload the tractor. It's amazing the difference a 4" curb on a city street can make to the loading angle.
