Utility Tractor needed in Orangeville Ontario

Hi there!

I am looking for a used Utility Tractor with the following features:

Mowing system
Front loader
Snowblower

My budget is around 12500 CAD, please advise me what to do or where to look?

For some reason when I search on EBay.ca I only find USA listed equipment.

I've had some good luck with Craigslist, and Kijiji. I'm always trolling around for stuff on there. There are a few tractors currently listed on Kijiji that match your needs.

Ik checked out the sites and I was surprised by the low number of decent deals for used tractors. One of the best I was able to find was:

Other than that, perhaps somebody has seen a deal I can't refuse?

Welcome fellow Canuck! My two cents is that you might be better off looking for a tractor in the USA with our dollar getting stronger these days, and towing the tractor back.

I found that I could never find a decent deal on a used tractor when I was looking but they would pop up when I wasn't.

Also check out Twin Acres Equipment - Updated May 23rd, 2009. He usually has low hour stuff for decent prices.

You probably ought to consider something new for a bit more coin as well. There is a new Mahindra dealer in your area.

Do give us an idea of what you are planning to do with your machine.

The reason I am looking for another John Deere tractor is because my current tractor (X320) is a bit too small for the work I have planned. I am looking for a tractor with a loader, a lawn mower as well as snow blower for the winter.

Basically the X320 is a bit too small for my 7 acres of property.

The USA option is something interesting, especially with the weak US dollar nowadays. Does somebody know how much I will have to pay for import taxes? Let's say I would like to bring in a 2006 or 2007 John Deere 2000 series from the US to Canada?

debeenus - GST and PST are all you are going to have to pay due to NAFTA as the place of final assembly of these tractors is the USA. There have been a few threads on here describing experiences of people importing from the USA to Canada.

Yes, cross border is easy and can save a bunch.

Also, there is an auction coming up in Elmira on June 23/09.

Another Ag auction at Bryants farm service this month and a construction\municipal one later his month also.

Bit of a hike for you but Brindleys ( look under agdealer website and search by company name ) usually has a bunch of used equipment.

The Kubota you saw in the autotrader seemed a little spendy.

Would see if any Bobcat Dealers around and ask about tractors. Deals reported there even in Canada.

You can get a new MF 2605 for under $10K not sure how much a loader would add, but at that price, might pay to have a look.
