Kioti CK30 HST
Im looking to get a ck30hst with the kioti bh ,i have been around on this and some other sites and a few people voiced their concerns about the backhoes not holding ,or leaking down.I dont mind if it leaks down when im not on the tractor, but i dont want to be going through the woods and have to bump up everything every five seconds.Im looking at the 75 bh from kioti. Is this an old issue or what.I will be using the bh an awful lot ,building a house, culvert driveway, alot of leech lines.I wont have time to mess with a not so great backhoe. Thanks im getting ready to buy and dont want remorse.

I have the KB2465 Kioti backhoe on my CK-20 HST. If I don't lock the outriggers up for extended periods(days)l when I'm not using the tractor the outriggers may drop a bit but it is entirely expected. I have never had any issues of drop while running the hoe................not ever. My tractor was purchased a year and a half ago and now has close to 350 hours on it and the backhoe time is about half the tractor hours displayed. I believe Kioti's backhoes are very good and would repeat this purchase.

I too have a CK20 with a BH. Like posted earlier, a small leak-down occurs when parked overnight or more but not an issue when using it and moving etc. I did what you are about to do, built a house with lots of dirt work. Worked great.

4yr old CK20HST with KB2365 and 370 hours, it will leak down slowly while sitting overnight but not even enough to touch the ground so I use the locks to hold up the stabilizers and lay the bucket on the ground. I have worked it to the bone for a 14hr day never using the backhoe and it never moved while mounted to the tractor. I also leave the hydraulic selector in position and not neutral while the backhoe is mounted, I wonder if those with problems are putting the selector in Neutral when not using the backhoe and that causes the leakdown...

Thanks guys anyone else out there with issues.I just want to get a fair sense before i pull the trigger on the ck30hst with backhoe.I have read where people opt for the woods backhoe ,i have yet to see one in person, but the kioti 75series looks pretty tough in my opinion.

I've the 2005 Kioti hoe on my ck30. Its very strong. It does leak down when not in use. For example, if I park the tractor, 30 minutes later I'm fine. 2 hours later, I have to hit the knob to pick it up before I go anywhere.. Just think of it as an extra emergency brake that sets itself. hehe I guess that's why you have a pin to stick in to keep it up.. No big deal..

On the down side, it's a bit unweldy and if I was looking again, I'd find something with a bit better controls. I do see the new ones are MUCH differant. The feet come up and down WAY to quick which of course you "kindof" get used to. I'd also get a thumb on it if I wasn't into welding (which I am).

All-in-all, it's been a beast.

I just took some pictures of my Woods backhoe. The reason I got the Woods was because it has a great seven position thumb. Don't have many rocks but lots of trees. The thumb is great, when splitting firewood rounds I use the backhoe to put them on my wood splitter. Much easier on my back.

I'm a big fan of thumbs and have had on both of my backhoes (both manual, never needed or wanted for hydraulic). Super useful implement, I use for cutting logs and stacking and moving rocks.

1) I have had both Kioti and Woods backhoes. Similar minor leakdown overnight/over week on both. No noticable difference.

2) I used my BH thumb this weekend to move some logs around in preparation for sawing to cord wood lengths. Very useful as I could reach further than with my grapple. However, given the cost of the thumb, I'd go for a grapple for the FEL first and only then add a thumb. No comparison in the number of jobs that the grapple makes possible compared to the thumb.

Island, your going to MAKE me do it aren't you. Subtile little hints.. Need grapple, need grapple..
I guess will be my next build.. I just got finish with some forks. Really neat, I can pick them up and set them off without getting off the tractor! :)
