Tractor Generator Belt Length Question.

For the past several days I have been doing cleanup around the fences with my YM1601D and a four-foot Bush Hog brand bush hog. I been running the rpm @ around 2400 and/or 2500 rpm to get the 540 on the PTO. The problem is the charge light will come on at those rpm, not on bright, just dim. If I back off to 2200 rpm and/or turn on the lights the charge check light will go off. The only thing I can think is that the generator belt is slipping. The adjustment for the belt is all the way out and I still have some play/push on the belt. So what is the size/length of the generator belt for an YM1601D? Or is this a item that I will need to get from Hoye?

Danny is the "A-33" the belt number or size of the belt??

Once again its a guess Frank , But I would say thats the part # . Most Belts I,ve seen include the length in the part # itself . the A Probablly Specifys the width some how . But I cant say for sure .

It Would be nice if People could be more Specific though Allthough any info is Helpfull the more info the better . I,m Sure Danny will Clarify if I,m right or wrong. As He,s been a great help to Me as well . Best of luck . Bob

A-33 is the belt. Period. If you go in a store and ask for an A-33 belt and they stare at you, find another store....quickly.

The "A" is the profile (cross section) of the belt and yes, "B" is wider, but not only. The "33" is length. But belts thusly designated and parts places will know exactly what you need if you tell them you need an "A-33" belt. Should not be a problem.

33 is NOT the length. "A" series belts are 2 inch's longer than the number. A A33 belt is a 1/2 inch wide 35 inch long belt. Just like a A100 belt is a 1/2 inch wide 102 inch long belt.

So it looks like I need a A-33 belt for my YM1601D. I know it would be better to pull the old belt off and take it in to the store to get the proper size.....but because of the time factor I would like to have the new belt on hand when I start the job. Also it looks like I will have to take off one side of the lower hose to get the belts off/on.
