I am looking at getting a 5' Woods brush bull this week end. I have just under 6 acres, mostly wooded, and I need/want to clean it up a bit. Any and all opinions welcome. THanks

Is this a one time clean up or a clean, clear, plant, cut and maintain?

For one time jobs - I suggest you rent a shredder - you may find that a five foot bumps the trees on turns..or that you need something else.

If it is a long term product buy a WOODS or RHINO - they are simply the best.

I like mine fine. But you might look at the flail threads on here - might change your mind about what to get.

Mark-

I have been very happy with my 5' Brush Bull for maintaining our fields and keeping the wood from overgrowing them.

If it's mostly woods that you'll be operating in, then I think the suggestion to look at a flail is really on-point. The 'Hog can be difficult to wield in the woods - the flail might be more manageable.

I just picked up a 60" brush bull for commercial use. I considered the heritage but quickly decided on the BB after comparing the two side by side. The bb is a stout unit. The only beefier unit would be a deere mx5.

I owned a BB60 and a BB72. They were both very well built, and worked great. I think they were rated for 1-1/2" diameter saplings. Don't go above that size, and it will be fine.

I've got a BB60 X and I think it's one tough unit..

What's the "C" for, the slip clutch option?

Thank you all. I did look at the flails. They are far more $. The one lower priced one is no longer being distributed (forgot the name, starts with a c).
