Removing sterring wheel from my Kubota

I have a L2850 and a M4700. Both shop manuals call for using the same steering wheel puller...over $250.00(ouch!!!) from Kubota.
Do you have to use one? Or cheaper models that would work from a car dealer, parts house or even a rental place?
I just need some ideas to help get this wheel off so I can get to the front panel wiring.

I've pulled the steering wheel off one of my B5100E's with a Sykes-Pickavant puller, sadly I cant recall whether I used the thee legs or the bearing seperator.

A seperator, if it fits, would spread the strain over a bigger area.

I recently pulled the steering wheel off my B7100HST-E and all I had to do was remove the center cap,nut and washer and tapped underneath with a 4 lb. hammer lightly, while pulling up on the outer edge and in a couple of licks, it came right off.I dont know if you have room to get underneath it like that, but mine was no problem. Also I dont see why a regular steering wheel puller, like from a parts store would not work. Also before replacing it back on , put some anti seize on the splines and threads to make it easier next time. Good luck, zman
