Never filed a claim with them but what's going on with your machine?
I was helping a buddy tear down a small old frame house that was in really bad shape.. I was working 12 graveyard shifts at plant getting up early helping him during the day, running on very little sleep had me pretty much a walking zombie..
I made a bad move and let a piece of the roof get away from me. I had the chance to make it fall wide to the left but I allowed the 2nd big mistake by allowing bystanders to be too close so the piece of roof came down the boom and hit left had joystick. I turned off the machine flipped the piece of roof off by hand thoroughly disgusted for making such a bad move. The joystick was stuck would not return to the neutral position.. A quick field inspection did not show anything obvious so I finished the project but having to push the joystick to neutral as something was binding.
I got it to a buddies shop and took it apart, I could see where the plunger valve had some scuff marks.. I take the part to a local dealer... The price was unbelievable, $450.00 plus taxes and freight

I paid to have it overnighted cleaned it all installed the new valve and it was better but still very stiff.... In frustration I took it to the dealer, just got the email tonight seems the valve body was damage.. Valve body is $1.330.00 at this point I called the Dealer told him as much as I regret it I am going to have to make a claim..
Moral of the story working impaired be it sleep deprivation, alcohol, or mind not at the task at hand is dangerous and costly.
Attached is couple of pics of house.. have not downloaded the completed job..
Drafthorse that is good to know, I have never made a claim before and hope the outcome of my problem is as good as yours..
