Just curious. I think we're all "guilty" of thinking we need all sorts of attachments and implements. Did you ever buy any that you don't use much and now are thinking of selling, or wouldn't miss much if you didn't have them?

That's an easy one. The box blade. It's been a total waste and I'm giving it to my brother now that he's just bought a place. I've learned that I can do more with my loader bucket then I can with the box blade.

I have a small (4") DR 3 pt chipper, it works but is too slow to get much done. Would rather have this money in something else.

Each of my dozen or so has a specific use, and - whereas that use may be as little as once or twice a year - I wouldn't be without any of them. One thing I'd do different though; I thought gauge wheels on my landscape rake might be worth the optional investment. Waste of money. Between position control and draft control on the tractor, I found them to be completely unnecessary. They increased the price of the rake by 50%, money that I now realize could have been better spent elsewhere

Stump bucket. Worthless. I will be cutting it up to use its parts elsewhere.

Carry all has yet to be used since I bought it at auction. Although I do have "plans" to use it some day, maybe, if I have time.
I haven't used my gauge wheels since I made the grader mod for the box blade.

Bought a big 73 inch grapple rake bucket over 2k$ ... It has never been used because I got a 4n1 bucket at the same time and find the 4n1 skid steer bucket will do everything i need with a loader...

I'm with Eddie, the box blade. I used it for one project and haven't moved it since. I could have used the FEL & landscape rake just as easily. I have used just the rake on other projects that I originally thought I needed a box blade for.

I bought the big Kubota ballast box. Filled it up and used it once. It seems if I have work enough to need the extra weight in the back, there is some other attachment that is also needed in the first flace. Wish I had that 300 bucks back.

I bought a pull-behind thing to pull Japanese stiltgrass. Not really using it now.

Also not using my soil ripper/disc hiller rig because I'm doing no till. It's available though, if I decide I need a new patch. Actually, for doing a new patch, I'd likely rent either a tiller or a moldboard plow to do it first.

Use my MacKissic chipper/shredder, carryall and bushhog quite a bit. Don't use the back blade much, just for snow in the winter which there hasn't been much of the last two winters.

I have found my box blade to be one of the most useful. With my grapple on the front and the box blade (with 200 lbs. of weight added), this is a most useful combination. We have miles of dirt roads that need regular scraping and contouring. The box works great for that. It also is helpful to fill the holes created by grappling out trees and brush. I also use it to drag chainsaw debris when trimming roads. I push piles with the grapple and grab the leftovers with the box.

My least useful is the 3 pt. carryall. When I bought it, I did not have a FEL and used it for carrying bags of fertilizer. I now sits unused.

By the way Eddie, I always enjoy your posts! You always come up with something interesting.

Shame! I just picked up a new leftover one for a fair deal 2 days ago. Haven't been able to do much with the weather here though.

I put a skid steer to 3ph adapt on the loader and mount BP out front for more reach.

I really like my box blade, maybe its a soil thing. with my rocky soil my loader is not very effective at grading. My box blade with rippers works really well. Then I finish off with my landscape rake.

I don't have an implement I don't use.

By far and away the most useful is my loader followed closely by my backhoe.

Tiller would be a nice to have but used so infrequently that I can get by with my box and rippers.

The Soilmover wheeled scraper. Built a road with it 10 years ago, really haven't used it since. I'm going to try it as a grader for leveling irregular terrain as it should work well for that, when I get to it!
