Hey, Bird, no complaints about the effects you describe, they are right on. But, I think you have the causes reversed. For example, wouldn't the driveshaft tend to come apart because it's too short (insufficient overlap of the telescoping sections) instead of because it's too long?

Oops. I don't how I managed to get those two words, short and long, backwards. Of course you're right; glad you noticed. So I've now edited my post to correct that.

Bird, I get too long and too short mixed up all the time. Also left and right, forward and back, higher and lower; you name 'em, I mix 'em up. Makes everything take a lot less time.
