........and I was ready for them! With camera in hand and a steady finger poised in position on the shutter release.

Well Ya got Me Don, I bet i looked at the first pic for 5 minutes trying to figure out what the heck You were talking about.

Then I scrolled down. :D . Great pics ,

We used to have the B1bs Buzz us every now & then , as We must be in there test flight pattern , Never could get a pic though by the time I heard them they were gone. .

I miss seeing them , but not the noise . They Moved all of them to another base elsewhere . & all We see now are the big refuelers . Thanks for showing , Bob

I'm with Bob, I looked at the first pic for quite a while wondering what your knees had to do with men in blue.

Very neato. Thanks for posting.

We live miles and miles from Toronto airport but on the approach route. When we first lived here we did not really like the big jets flying over (way high), but now we really like watching them. Very cool.

I'd love to see more military planes flying!

Looks like the skeeters in my back yard!!! :p

Just kidding.... pretty fun to see them in action. I live near our airport and have seen similar things many times from several different acts. Always amazes me just how fast they are going, until you realize they are having to stay under the sound barrier and are capable of DOUBLE that speed or more!!! YIKES!!!! What I'd give for a ride in that (with barf bag handy, of course ;) )!

Ha! Made ya'll look! :D

It's really challenging to get the shot. By the time you hear the sound the planes are long gone. I have more sky shots without Blue Angels than I do with! The Blue Angels arrive two days ahead of the airshow to practice and Thursday was a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky. A single Blue flew right overhead, just about blew my hat off. If he wasn't going so fast I probably could have read the serial number on the bottom of the plane. I wasn't camera read for that photo opportunity. As usual, he was really quiet till after he went by......

These skeeters are the big boys. They can reach out and sting ya! ;)

These pic's were taken with just a pocket Canon camera. It's about impossible for me to try to zoom in and get the shot. Zoom out and hope for the best. Set the camera on maximum megapixels so at least there's an opportunity to enlarge the picture in the computer.

HEY, taking a picture of a 747 (Air Force One) standing still on the tarmac is a lot easier than catching a Blue Angel in flight.
(just joshing ya, :D)
