New set of keys

You want to see something scary, go on ebay and look at the key sets they are selling from 30 and 50 to over 100 keys just for equipment. Makes you want to put another switch on and LoJack and tie a hungry dog to your tractor.

Ya'll do realize just how easy it is to "hot wire" heavy equipment don't ya? In case you haven't heard, keys and locks just keep honest people honest......they do not deter criminals

I had to post this from another thread. Still cracks me up.

One morning before the coffee kicked in, I noticed something looked odd with my dashboard. I had used the barn keys to start tractor. It's just a simple, small Master lock on the barn. I was really surprised that it worked!

I figure the main deterrent to thieves is not the key, it's the getaway speed.

Guy down the road from me had a bigger boata from work and forgot the keys. My keys did not fit it but with a wire from a testlight we had it running in lstt than 10 min... He and his boss that was there were both shocked at how easy it was

Sure do; had to do one of my larger tractors that way a couple of times. The older ones are a little easier and you can do it with nothing more than a strip of metal, screwdriver, pliers, etc.

This was a new one and the wires just woul unplug from the key. Then it was a simple matter of a jumper wire
