Grand L5740 pushing it's reach ...

We loaded up the last of our hay to head off to central Texas and I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the "little Kubota". The previous bales had been loaded by the buyers larger JD, but it wasn't available when the semi came back for the last load. I had my doubts we'd be able to get the top row of bales loaded, but the L5740 came through! I definitely wouldn't have tried it without a bale on the back end!

You Texans always do it bigger. I haven't seen hay stacked that high since we manually stacked square bales that high!

good to hear the 5740 is up to the task!

How do you get the bale that you stuck on the backend on the truck?
16 bales on and one on the ground?

Seriously, or more likely..Not. This is even made easier with stupid annoying smilies, with them you can make anybodys good effort look like they almost didn't do good.

To the OP> Great job as some on earlier posts have been questiong the capabilities of the bigger Kubotas. My wife and I will wear our Kubota Hats with pride this weekend! Nice tractor and,Thank you very much! Good pictures.

Driver would only carry 32, and we had 33, so it worked out. We ended up keeping the runt of the bales.

Great pics. Two questions - 1) - what was the approx weight of the bales and (I am assuming about 1500lbs each -32 x 1500 =48000 or 24 tons) and 2) - Did you reach across the trailer for both upper and lower rows, or did you load from both sides?
