I tried the digital tv at my cabin and lost all my analog fuzzy (but acceptable) station in the conversion I did get 2 new stations one pbs with 3 channels and one independent with 2 channels.

but there isn't any thing I want to watch on them.

a new long range antenna will be ~ $150.00 and rotor ~$100

for less than $250 i could get a dish on the FTA stuff.

here is a link of one of the vendors.

Free To Air Satellite TV system These are high quality stationary satellite packages.  Use this satellite system to receive Free To Air channels from one satellite.  Excellent choice for all the ethnic channels on Galaxy 25 (aka Telstar 5), and other

I'm not there enough to get dish network or equal.

Well if you were already a dish/direct subscriber at home, you could just install a second dish antenna at the remote site. Then take the receiver with you when you go there and have everything you normally have at home...

I was really wondering if there is any thing to watch on it.

The other choice is the pay as you go dish network

Go to AntennaWeb look at the "select antenna" link. All they need is your zip code. This will then tell you what stations, what direction, and distance to the transmitter. Pay attention to whether the the stations as UHF or VHF. This will affect your antenna selection.

A very good place for antenna's is Antennas Direct | Your TV and HDTV Antenna Source I have used them for both technical questions and purchased from them.

Stations and Antenna Types

TV reception is determined by the size and type of antenna and the direction in which it is pointed. To determine the right antenna, use the color coded Antenna Type to select the channels that you wish to view. Antenna types are color coded according to the size and type of antenna needed for reception. The list is arranged in order of ease of reception, with the stations requiring the smallest multidirectional antenna at the top, to those requiring the largest directional antennas at the bottom.

Use the "Compass Orientation" listed below to point your antenna or rotor system for the channels you wish to receive. Please note that "Compass Orientation" is referenced to magnetic North.

The "RF Channel" column is provided to facilitate custom antenna design for special circumstances.

There are no stations predicted to serve this location.
Depending on the specifics of your installation, though, you may be able to receive some signals.

I tried antenna web before and They said said no reception Zip is 17776

I am on top of a mountain and got the analog stations as i said fuzzy but acceptable

I have looked at a directional antenna like 91XG Uni-Directional and a rotor but that would cost about the same as the pay as you go dish or the FTA setup.

With the dish thing might there might be a problem because I am off grid and don't leave loads on to drain the batteries and I'm worried about loosing programing if receiver is off while I am tractoring.
