AS long as that boom pin is lubricated and fastened, I can not imagine how that cyl. would snap. There are hoes with literally thousands of hours on them, tons of abuse, sloppy pins, the whole nine yards and a cyl like that would not snap.

You are obviously correct, pin fell out, everything miss aligned and cyl. snapped.

Pin should not have fallen out in the first place.

Good reminder for all of us to be sure to check everything possible for tightness and lubrication.

When you swing, does the cylinder shaft pass over the pivot pin? I'd suspect the pin worked up, you swung and cylinder hit pin, snapping the high carbon steel rod.

Good reason for a thorough inspection before each operating session.

As for the welding, there's no reason it won't hold as long as it was welded with a buzz box and not a mig...... Hee hee hee!!!!

o well there is always next weekend, guess I will have to go and mow the grass

Did your dealer charge you for pickup and delivery?

NO charge, they never do. I live about 5 miles from the dealer, another reason why Hoover Tractor is awesome.

Good point, had not thought that through. One thing with strong metal pieces, they are super tough when lined up correctly, get something out of line and man they can look auful weak super fast.
