That sounds like a bargain to me. I will have to look into doing that here. Maybe soundproof the walls so you can't hear the wife yelling.

Diamond H Construction out of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. I know for a fact they build barns in TX, OK, KS, Neb, Co, LA, Ark, Iowa, and TN. They are great people to deal with. My father-in-law had a barn built just after mine were completed.

How do you like the external sliding doors?

I love them. They seem to allow for more opening space. I had one 20ft split slider and 1 12 ft split slider on the 30x50. I thought about going with two overhead doors instead of the 20 ft slider but I sure am glad I went the way I did.

Thanks for the info, and since I'm not familiar with the external sliding doors; should I assume you have some sort of mechanized system to open and close them? I can't imagine pushing those puppies open and shut manually no matter how good the track bearings are.

You Midwesterners definitely have it good when it comes to pricing on outbuildings.

Actually they are very easy to close. They are manually closed and they have an inside latch on each door and a latch at the end to lock the two doors together. The doors are not as heavy as you may think. The 20 foot door takes a little effort, especially with a strong south wind. Other than that no problem...

Dimond H construction builds poles barns in the great state of Colorado. The crew that built mine were heading to Colorado after they completed the jobs here.

Nice barns, I just had a 40 x 60 x 14 put up to replace the one I lost in a fire.
New barn on left, old barn 3 pictures on the right. Old barn was framed with a scissors truss so even though it only had 10 foot side walls it had 13+ foot clear height in the center, new barn has 14 foot side walls and a 12' wide x 13' high insulated overhead door
