Our Itchy friend stopped in

a relative of one of your itchy friends has been through my yard lately. think he/she is going to the neighbors honey bee boxes. I haven't seen this one, comes at night.

I like your bear traps. I think you should tag it a third time, right between the eyeballs. Make sure you get the gall bladder.

After a long hot day digging the pond, I was about to jump in the pool to cool off, when our little friend stopped in for a rub on the willow., he has 2 tags, one in each ear, he stops in for a rub and goes on his way.
We have friends in the Huntingdon Pa area.
Seems like State Collage is not real far from there .
Do you know how many miles it is between Huntingdon & State College?

What STATE is this in?
We don't have bears in Oh.

Try "Googling" "bears in Ohio". Population has tripled in the last 15 yrs. In other words, there are lots of bears here in Ohio.

Nice picture. hopefully you and them can learn to live together without big troubles. The way the human population is growing there won't be any wild life left for our grand kids.

Are your friends related? Almost everyone in Huntingdon is.

Oleozz gave you the mileage, but I'll tell you that it depends on which way you go. I worked in that county before, and if you go southwest of the lake you will see some strange things. Anyone who wants a job in Huntingdon Co. is likely commuting to State College or works at the prisons, Huntingdon is very rural and poor.

It's a family of 2 brothers and 4 sisters that were born and raised in the Huntingdon area. The last name is Myers.
One of the sisters married my dads first cousin back in the early 1940s and moved to Canton Ohio.
We met the rest of her family when my dads cousins wife died in the early 1990s.
At that time 2 of the sisters lived at Petersburg
1 of those sisters husbands worked in State Collage and their son worked at one of the state prisons.
1 lived in Huntingdon.
The older brother lived in Fla.
The youngest brother lived in Connelsville Pa.
My wife and I found the name interesting as we live about 35 miles from Mc Connelsville,Oh.

Whenever you think that "there are too many people" or that "we are clearing all our forests" or that "there is no room for wildlife", the first thing you should do is look at an aerial photo of the country and realize that we have only begun to clear our forests. Vast huge areas of wilderness exist where bears can play.

We earned our place at the top of the food chain.

It's all relative to your location, been to NJ lately? :) We are but a tiny blip on the timeline, haven't "earned" anything yet. We owe it to our descendants to manage our resources prudently.
