Safety issue: My emergency brake on my new (new to me) 2002 TN75 works but it want stay in locked position.... by that I mean you can raise it and the brakes are locked but when you let go it lowers all the way down. The manual says to engage to raise the lever and to release to push the release button and lower. I've noticed the release button seems to be stuck all the way in. I want have access to it until this weekend to attempt correcting the issue... anyone have any ideas where to start?
Thanks, Bob

Get ahold of the release button with pliers and pull it out about a half inch. It may be stuck in. Also, the handgrip may be turned slightly or pulled off the handle a little causing the button to bind.

waving hand wildly in air.

I KNOW THIS ONE

DAMHIK but I know this one.

The little slider piece on the end of the emergency brake has come out and slipped off and it's keeping the little red button from going all the way back in.

fiddle around with that slider piece and then the red button will then go all the way in and you will have released the brake.

It took me DAYS to figure this out.

I've posted a link to view the emergency brake.... can you tell me which piece is the slider? Thanks for your help! I give this a try this weekend.

that link just comes up as hex characters

it's pretty obvious once you look at it.
the red button is the very end of the bar

1/2" back from that red bar is a piece that basically is not quite the end of the bar, it's wider and I suppose it's where you put your hand. (in fact, the more I think about it, I think this is true (tractor isn't here, it's dark out). Just push that piece towards the back of the tractor. (doesn't take much at all)

then the red button will depress fully and the brake will release.

Here's the diagram Bob linked to.

I had a chance to work on the tractor today and figured out the brake issue: Spring holding the release button has some rust and was holding it in: solution: grab the release button with a pair of pliers and pull which released the button and then squirt WD40 and oil on the spring... works just fine now. thanks for all the suggestions!
