I own a Fimco 3pt 55 gal sprayer. I can not get any pressure to the boom. It just trickles out in a straight stream. If I shut the boom off I get all kinds of pressure on the return line and I can regulate it with the regulater so I know it is working. I have taken it apart and all looks good. I have cleaned all the screens. I started noticing the pressure was dropping little by little all day. I kept increasing it as the day went on but now I am out of adjustment. I feel like I am missing something real simple here but I am not sure what it is. I have looked at the manual and had no luck there either. Below is a link on the sprayer I own if this is any help. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

I assume that your pressure guage is showing good pressure. Maybe you have a kinked hose or a barb fitting that has collapsed or picked up a piece of trash?

When I open the valve for the boom I lose all pressure. Gauge goes from 100 psi to about 2 psi. I have been running around 20 psi which is where I want to be

I have the same sprayer as you do Deere755. First thing I'd do is get a good quality glycerin filled gauge as the cheap dry gauge is impossible to read due to vibration.

Since you don't mention leaks, I'm guessing that almost all your liquid is going back to the tank via the tank return. That would indicate that there is something wrong in the pressure adjusting valve as the lever operated main shutoff valve is just that, an on/off valve.

Also I'm assuming your pump is primed with fluid before you engage the pump. Are you using a six-roller pump?

I agree with aggiehortguy91 that you may have blockage in the single hose feeding the boom. Do you have the same problem when you use the handgun?

Please let us know what you discover the problem to be.

I looked at the owners manual and if the hand sparyer works fine then its got to be the "directo" valve or blockage in the line going to the boom. I couldnt tell if the valve was after the regulator or not, but Im going to assume it is before the valve. I would fill it with water and remove the line going to the boom from the valve and check for flow there, that will let you know which direction to look for the obstruction.

You didnt say if the hand sprayer works right or not. If it doesnt then the problem is most likely a clogged filter on the inlet or the regulator is bad.
