1 - What size bit did you use to drill out the J-hook?
2 - Where did you get the quick release pins?
3- What size quick release pins are you using?

I believe 1) 1/2 " bit, all you are doing is cleaning out the powder coat/paint. It will wear out within a few hook changes and just using it. Not really necessary but I did do it as well. 2) Any tractor supply, again 1/2" pin. Take the hook with you. I bought the nice ones with the handles and wound up cutting the pins down to the point of just being long enough to fit with a hair pin clip. Some of my implements swallow up most of the hook and the long pins were in the way.
