2009 - 2010?

O.K. I have pretty much decided on a new 293, but what would the chances be that the price of the 2009's will drop if the new models are coming out and there is a surplus of this year's? I'm not even sure when new model years come out, but a dollar in my pocket is better than in the dealers.

What about a T273? Basically the same tractor - 293 is just spec'd at higher rpm. I would expect you could walk out the door with a 273 for a grand or more at the right dealership when 2010 inventories arrive.

Pete - thanks for the advice. Am certainly going to keep that in mind. I know a lot have explained the difference between the two and the whole rpm thing. I'm going on the assumption that there will be a surplus of tractors given the current economy. The package deals look real good for the TYM's.

Last year you would be right but not this year. Dealers and mfg's have been downsizing their inventories since last August. I dont have one dealer friend that has a surplus and ordering will stay in line with that for quite some time. I can almost guarantee you will pay more if you wait.

Buck - thanks for the advice. Went by the dealers today and looked at what he has available hoping that they will still be there in a month. The financing deal makes it all very positive.
