my fears of buying a kioti have come true. had a hard hyd. line split. can't fab a rubber one. was hoping to have part in 5 days (n.c. to idaho), nope. don't know when it will be in. so my dk50hse sits in neighbors pasture. thankfully i have a great dealer in post fallls/rathdrum (speciality tractor) and he had the line braised. will pick it up tomorrow and see if it works. kioti could make a bigger impact on tractor sales if they had a better parts distribution. one warehouse in country? wish i would have investigated more before my purchase.

We do have a better parts distribution....It's
We as dealers can not stock all the parts it would put us out of business.

I've had some long waits for Kubota and Deere parts in the past.

Tough to pass judgement on one part request.

i'm not making my judgment on my part alone. have a friend whos dad bought a kioti and has had trouble with parts. i got the tractor running thanks to a great dealer. i don't expect dealers to stock all the parts. i understand inventories and the cost, but why doesn't kioti's warehouse have it, and why can't they give a ship date. i'm not saying all other manufactures are perfect and have the parts but they appear to do a better job.

still no hyd. line. the repaired line split again. kioti can't give a ship date.

Sorry to hear about the struggles. Not sure where it split, but until the new line comes can you go to dealer (any dealer, including some auto parts places or equipment places (heavy equipment)) and get a hydraulic line made up to splice in in the meantime??

Very frustrating when a new piece of equipment is down for the count.

I would think very rare that a new hard line lets go, I've not heard of this before.

Good luck,
Joel

PS> your dealer should be willing to pull from tractor on lot if available, my kawasaki dealer always did that for me any my brother when we were racing.

my dealer did pull a line off of a 45dkhse, no cab, but it doesn't fit the 50dkhse cab. i was hoping someone from kioti, not a dealer, would read my post and give me some feedback on part orders. i'm sure they are lurking but affraid to comment. hoping we can figure something out today for a temp. fix. thanks.

...hoping we can figure something out today for a temp. fix.

I would definitely fix (weld), rather than buy a new hard line if it is one of
the ones I think it is. As JOELD points out, a hydraulics shop should be
able to make one up for you, too.

I have had trouble with welding on some thin hydraulic tubing, as the
steel in the tubing chrystallizes near the weld boundary and is weak. An
all-new hardline, except for the banjo fitting, is a better solution probably.
I have used thicker tubing if welds are involved. Any tubing you weld
must be very clean of oil or the welds will be porous. Brazing won't have
that drawback. Don't rule out a flexible line either.

I have also noticed that some hardlines in my CK30 vibrate a lot at certain
engine RPMs...this can cause hardline metal fatigue. It may even be the
cause of the failure of many Kioti CK oil cooler connections. I secured
some of my hardlines with additional damped supports to cut down on the
vibrations. There was a thread about this a couple of years ago.

As for getting parts, it seems that tractor dealers in general stock very
little in terms of parts, other than filters, belts, and maybe hoses. Every
time I order anything from the various JD or Kubota places, my parts are
shipped from a warehouse...generally in 3 days. Usually, they are shipped
from the warehouse to the dealer, then to me. I have never had a
problem with that. Kioti is a different story, but I can not expect their
dealers to stock any more than the big boys stock. I do find their additional
charges to ship directly to me from the warehouse to be annoying, given
the scarcity of dealers. I admit that I have bought much less in terms of
parts from Kioti as the 3 machines I bought parts for were purchased new
and have been very reliable.
