Well, my wife tried out the FEL on the L48 and now wants one for "her" BX2200.

I have searched this forum, Googled, and Binged coming up with the following as possibilities.

Koyker 120
Woods LS72
Kubota LA211

The LA211 seems to always be attached to something and Kubota doesn't make them anymore so they are hard to find independent of a tractor.

The Koyker and Woods seem to be available for around $3000 with the Koyker being a bit more expensive.

Does anyone have experience with the Koyker and/or Woods for a specific recommendation? Are there other aftermarket loaders out there? There must be something from China suitable for the relatively light work my wife does.

How about experiences with the price so I can conduct informed bargaining?

I do not know about this specific loader, however Woods has a very good reputation. You don't often hear bad things about their quality.

I am outside of Sacramento. Where in N. CA are you?

20 mi SE of Sacramento would put you in about Dixon.

I'm located 7 miles north of Vacaville.

The other thing under consideration is instead of putting a FEL on the BX2200 is to put the $3K toward a new B2620 or even a B7800 with FEL and try to make up part of the difference by selling the BX2200. Many options to think about.

Got it! East / West - who can tell the difference.:p

Some nice flat farmland in that area outside of Elk Grove. If you are in an overflow area from the Cosumnus River it should be rich soil.

That is just what I'm looking for! Thanks. Unfortunately, NC is a bit far from CA for a trip to pick it up (although my wife would love such a trip). Shipping to CA would likely bring the price close to a new Woods.

I appreciate the heads-up.

Flat yes, but just far enough from the river to have heavy clay on top of thick impermeable hardpan. Sounds like you should be in some pretty rolling hills where the east side of the coast range peters out into the central valley.

Yep, thats where I'm at. Unfortunately it is above the Putah Creek floodplain so there is two feet of rocky delapidated on top of 12 feet of clay. It is one of those "...make lemonade" situations.

I don't know if you had made a decision on the loader yet, but I have the Woods LS72 on my BX2200 and I am very pleased with it. I also spent $3k. It has been very dependable. I also installed a Markham toothbar.
