When I spoke to the local dealer(bates tractor sales,coldwater MI.)they told me with front end loader around $37,000 plus tax.coobie

Low 30's with a loader, depending on how equiped.

My parents bought 31 acres and house for $3500 in 1951.

Heck, in 1965 I bought a 1949 Farmall Cub (4 cylinder) with hydraulics from a dealer, plus right/left plows, row cultivators, spring tooth harrow, new belly mower, and new front mount snow plow all for $900. The tractor and all equipment were in excellent condition.
That was back when a dollar was worth a dollar and average wages were a whole lot less. Thought if I ever earned $100/week I'd have it made.

I remember in 1967 my old man paying $2,400 bucks for a new IH 1300 4x4 one ton V-8 pickup.

What you need to look at is how many cows or bushels of grain you would need to sell to buy that tractor then and its equivalent today.
