you'll also find that the Kubota is not intentionally hampered like the economy Deere tractors are... you can remove the loader, add a backhoe, rear remotes, (mid PTO's?), etc. I guess at least Kubota did not see the need to create artificial limitations to try to upsell you to another model.

Not sure I'd call those limitations 'artificial'.

Well, I have to agree with Mess. I too looked at the 3032/3038e model and liked most everything BUT the fact that it was limited on features. Great entry tractor, but if you EVER plan on adding things like a BH, or removing the loader, it won't be the best choice. I also wanted JD, so I ended up buying a used 4120 at about the same price as a new 3038e. Best decision I have made in a while. Not to start a war, but I was told by several friends (with tractors, both green and orange) that the hydraulics on the JD were a little stouter than the K. I never had a chance at the dealer to compare.

DISCLAIMER! I HAVE BEEN WRONG BEFORE!!!

You can't have your cake and eat it too. If you want lots of high dollar features then your going to have to spend the money on a nice xx20 series model. If you just need to get work done and could care less about whether the thing has a rubber floor mat or if there is trim around the shift handles, or you can't afford the fanciness of a xx20 series model, or you want a removable loader, than the 3000E series is for you. People complain "ugh the E series doesn't have a removable loader, that's ridiculous, blah blah blah". No it's not, it's a value line model tractor that gives you the most bang for your buck. Honestly, what do you expect? that they're going to give you a feature laden, high dollar tractor for a cheap price? that's the entire point of the series!, you have to cut costs somewhere.

Oh come on.. it absolutly is! No rear remotes.. ...No Backhoe? ...Removeable loader? There is no mechancial reason for any of this. Cost cutting my butt! It may save $200 on the loader to not put the sockets on there but thats not enough cash to bring it to an economey price. Its done to push buyer up to their higher margin tractors.

Well after much though and looking and driving them I eneded up with an
L2800 from Kubota. Just fit my needs better than the Deere or the other Kutota. Plus It came in $1000 less than the Deere thanks to thier 1000 rebate. I also ogt a SQ160 from Bushhog and a Pequea 350 PTO woodchipper and a single bottom plow. (Alrerady have a tiller). Should be delivered soon. Thanks for all the help in choosing. Will take some pix when it arrives!

Just a small correction...

LVB25743 Rear hydraulic kit

3E Series Tractors can be equipped with a field-installed rear hydraulic remote kit, providing two additional hydraulic spools on the back of the tractor. This kit can be field installed on a tractor with a loader or without a loader.

The functions are completely separate from the loader. These rear remotes can be hooked up to a wide variety of implements and attachments such as follows:

Top and tilt 3-point hitch
Hydraulically angled blade
Hydraulically controlled chute/spout on a 3-point hitch-mounted snow blower
Hydraulic scarifiers on a box blade
Many other hydraulic rear attachments
This versatile kit gives 3E Series Tractor operators the options they desire for putting their tractors into a wide range of tasks.

The first spool is equipped with a float position, giving the operator the ability to contour the landscape and improve the final grade with certain implements.
