I also ordered one the first part of July. As of today, it hasn't been built yet. I was told when ordered 2 to 4 weeks.

My dealer told me to e-mail bobcat....thought they might respond to me since they're not responding to him....this is what their canned response is:

Neil. Thank you for your purchase of a Bobcat Compact Tractor. I sincerely apologize for the length of time it has taken for you to receive your tractor. With the overwhelming success of the CT230 we have experience a larger than anticipated backlog on this unit. Because of this backlog it is taking time to catch up to the influx of orders we have received. We are doing everything we can to expedite these orders and get them delivered to our dealers, where they can then be delivered to you. The best way for you to get a timeframe on when your unit is going to arrive is to work with your local dealer. They have the means to contact our sales coordinators who can provide them the best timeframe on when your unit should arrive. Once again we thank you for your business and patience Thanks again! Bobcat Company

Try e-mailing them and see if you get the same response with your name on it instead of mine.....Neil

My dealer told me there would be no more 230s available till December. He said Bobcat had a program that I could upgrade to a 235 for an extra $700, and these were availabe, in my case in about 3 weeks. I went for the deal, and my 235 arrived, with loader, exactly on the date promised.I don't know what to believe anymore, but I got my tractor and love it so far. It goes out on the first job Monday morning! I would be curios to know if others waiting for a 230 have been offered similar deals.

I'm trying for the same deal. 1st quote was $3000. Told them to try again. What state are you in?

I am in Canada. I paid more for the tractor initially than you pay in the U.S.A., but seems I got a better price on the 235 upgrade than what U.S. customers are getting. I have come to the conclusion that the compact tractors are NOT Bobcat's priority, and their dealers know very little about them. If you need a skid steer or mini ex., they seem to be more interested, in dealing with you, just my opinion. I hope they will carry parts and know how to repair the tractors down the road.

If they don't call me and I will be glad to help anyone out with your questions and even supply you with the parts you need.

I was told today that there was a "strike" at the factory, now the tractor I ordered in July won't even be built till November? Anyone else here this or am I being bs'ed. 60 days turns into 4-5 months, then what?

i got mine about 1 month ago. They did throw in the bob tach, full suspension seat, tooth bar, and added mid mount pto for my troubles. It took me 7 weeks to get my machine, but you know what, it was worth it. Ask anyone how their pre 2009 paint job is. It was like whitewash(if you kids know what that is) but the new ones have awesome paint, which is important when it sits outside. They have also strengthed the tranny and they dont require the break in time to run properly. The front axle is also upgraded, as is the pto splines to molly steel, so no more stripping splines. My 2010 is awesome out of the box. Be patient, its well worth the wait for the new generation model, youll see

That's the first I heard of the improvements besides the paint job. Good to know. I decided that I'm going to stick it out now matter how bad the dealers or Bobcat blew it. I wish all bobcat dealers would sell the tractors. It seems around here that the good bobcat dealers already have a tractor line (NH, CUB-Yanmar, Kubota, etc..) and are very hesitant to sell the bobcat line. Probably not going to sell to many $22K NH 2035's when the CT235 is $15k. First snow in central MN yesterday - I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. I prefer not to break in my CT230 in below zero weather.

Also I see you said 2010 model. Are all the new ones we are waiting for labeled 2010's?

That's the first I have heard of those improvements, too. I have not
had or heard of any tranny, axle, or PTO problems. What is your source?

My Bobcat dealer says they use dual air filtration instead of Kioti's single,
and I can see that they use a different starter key. And no gear trannies
are even offered.

I was at Bobcat of ct(east hartford) 2 people i know work there and it is where i got mine. when i ordered they told me two weeks and then it turned out to be a nightmare. That said, when i went to the shop to shoot the ****, we were talking about it was actually lucky i didnt get the 2009 1st run. The paint is now fixed, and while we were there we looked at a service bulliten and jeff even showed me a spline they were replacing on a new tractor. The new parts were also molly steel. If you have been following this forum for awhile, a lot of the older posts talked about how after 2-3 months there tractor finally had power. Its the old style hydraulic pump that just didnt operate out of the box that well and has now been fixed. As for the front axle, just look at the diff between the older model(the first run of 2009) vs. the new run. They are thicker and clearly heavier. If you talk to the guys who actually repair them they will give you the insight to what is up. I m lucky i know a salesman there as well as a service guy.

Thats my input
