I myself tried loading my tires with beer. But that didn't work because every time I got thirsty I would drain my tires dry! Seriously, I agree it is probably rimguard. - Mike

I guess I should say Happy Columbus Day to y'all in the US of A,...while I wish my fellow Canucks a very Happy Thanksgiving! (Oct 12 actually)

Also, just a thought here, but I would think what the Maple Syrup folks put in the tires would be the "sap" of which there might be an abundance "prior" to the boiling down to maple syrup. Quite a loss in content once boiled,..hence the high price ???

If I had to guess its probably Rimguard. Straight molasses wouldn't move fast enough when it's really cold in the winter time. That would make for a real fun ride on the tractor.

Funny this thread would be timed so well. My T2220 showed up with loaded tires, transferred from another dealer to my own, so they didn't know WHAT product was used.

Welllll..... Today while bush hogging and forking a trail through the woods to recover a huge oak that fell, I keep smelling this smell..... Kinda a cross between a dead pig and gouda cheese left in a closed car for a week. I'm looking around wondering what I discovered, all while slowly rolling through the woods. I then hear a "pfft" that makes me groan. I lean back and look back to see the tph covered with what looked like baby diarrhea, and that more is being liberally applied via the now MIA tire stem.

Disengage pto, get turned around, and beat it for home before tire goes flat, which I did. I was amazed as to how easy the broken valve came out of the spud. Quick and easy fix after jamming a pencil in there and going to buy a new one.

Word of advice: When removing pencil "cork" and first inserting new valve into still pressurized wheel, keep mouth closed. It smells like cheesy pig, looks like diarrhea, and tastes exactly how it looks and smells. I wore it!

You know I never thought of loading the tires in my lawnmower even though all I use it for is mowing, it is pretty light and doesnt get good traction on my ditchbanks. Loading up all the tires with water just may help the situation

I thought about loading my lawn mower tires with just water, but then you have the freezing problem. I use my lawn mower in the winter to haul wood when the ground gets too soft for the tractor. I've been seriously considering windshield wiper fluid, though.

But, seeing as how I need to run right past American Tire Factory tomorrow, I may just pull the back tires from the mower and get them filled with good old fashioned rim guard. I mow a 33 degree slope sideways with that mower, and I really have to lean uphill to keep the tires from slipping, and even then they sometimes slip if the ground is too wet.

Probably not much of a problem if they don't leak I don't think you have to worry too much where you live. Not many bears in SW Ohio although there are occasional confirmed black bear sightings.

Like Haymaker, I had a valve stem break. It was supposed to be loaded with Rimguard, but it was clear fluid. Hmmmm, I paid for something but didn't get the real deal!

No bears here. But we do have critters here that will chew on anything tasty. Rimguard looks like thick blood when I bleed the valve stem to check air pressure. I can think of no better way to describe it.
