L2800 Has arrived 2day!

Hey all Just wanted to share some pix of our newest arrival here in WV . Got my new rig a Kubota L2800 HST , also got a SQ160 bushhog, Pequea Woodchipper CX350 a 4' box blade and a single bottom plow. Since it arrived so late ...5;00PM I only had a chance to take it down to the garden and cut my old corn slakes down...works great Although I'm alittle concerned about the wieght of the Bushhog alittle over 600 lbs . and I'll be doing most of my cutting on hills. think I should have gotten the SQ148. The dealer told me to try it out and see how I liked it. tell me your thoughts??? I got the rears loaded and 225 lbs of wieght for the front... Seems to hold the tractor down ok on mild slopes. I already have a FEL on my BX23 in case you were wondering my logic of not getting a FEL for my new one. Anyways I'm abit windy I know...lol Just excited about the new machine.

nice machine WV tractorman. I had an old JD 2WD and got a L200 HST thisSpring. Put 80hours or so on it and really love it so far. True test will be this Winter moving and clearing snow.

My BB is 830lbs, disk 663lbs, my L2800 handles it well. I wouldn't worry about it and cut.

Just concerned about how well it will do on hills.... Its pretty flat down in your parts . Up here in West Virginia everything is either going up or down...lol

Ok if top heavy is your concern then the tractor itself is you biggest worry, not the weight of the implement you attach.

But since you think Texas is all flat, I do belive our tallest hill is 8717 and West Virginas is 4862.

When you get around to doing some chipping, take some pictures and give us a review. I'd never seen one around here, till this year at the county fairs ........three different dealers all had one for sale (one green branded 'frontier').

Congrats on your new investment...your going to like it a lot.

Weight problem??? could add suit case weight on the front or home made weight box...need action pics soon.

Congratulations on your new L2800! You should now nooo Problem with the weight of the 60" Bush-hog Squealer, I had a 48" on my BX23 and had no problem what so ever, even on grades. But to be honest I did have a FEL on front when I was using it. I would keep the 60", just as always be careful of your surroundings and you'll be fine.

I have 4- 55lbs wieghts on the front, so I should be ok. Plus the rears are loaded, couldn't go out and "work" tonite as its raining... suppose to 4 the next 4 days. I did talk to my dealer and he said to try it and if I didnt like it I could go down to a sq148. the SQ160 just looked alittle intimating thats all.

If it's any help to you, my L3400 handles a 660 lb RCR1860 Land Pride mower with no problems, I'll admit I had misgivings when I first looked at the mower sitting next to the tractor ...
