All I Want For Christmas Is A New KK Disk

That disk looks pretty big! unless that is a generic pic or it is smaller than i think, im not sure that tractor you have could pull that thing very well? Maybe in that soft garden of yours and with som draft control but id have a hard time beleiving that tractor has enough weight to pull that disk? I ve watched my uncles JD 4400 (33hp) 4wd tractor (physically like 3 times the size of yours) struggle in 4wd to pull a 6 ft 16 disk harrow on the third pass. I would take my tractor and ask for a test before you are stuck with a new but slightly used disk that you are then tring to recoup as much as you can (think the guys that are prowd of there disks) on resale.

To me, a disc and a post-hole digger are two implements that can easily be shared by neighbors. One neighbor and I have a shared PHD. I'd also think a disc would be one of those things you'd normally use once or twice a season. Of course, you have to find another neighbor who is interested and that might be hard to do. It sure lightens the cost when two people can share it.

Nate, I honestly don't know if a BX can pull that disk or not. It is designed for and marketed to the subcut tractor specifically. Thus the play on words; XB for BX. BTW, I have put my eyes on these, and they aren't intimidating at all. Not as impressive as the photo might look.
All I know is that the toy disks, no offense intended, for the little garden tractors, simply don't cut the grade. Like to hear from another BX or similar subcut owner on this issue. Really would.

Jim, I hear you. My neighbor John and I share about 6 or 7 implements and you're so right. It is a good good thing. A disk isn't part of the "fleet" yet. He doesn't need one, (wanna be goat farmer) but I do. (vegetable) farmer. I think I am on my own with this one!

Here is a pic of my disk.

Not really a toy like the one in your vid. I have a yanmar 2000 it is bigger than your tractor physically, and yet i only have 2wd i still tip the scales at 1700 lbs plus about 100 lbs of weight up front. I take no offense to your commet as my disk looks nothing like the one in your video.

i want a boom pole! i think i will have it by christmas though still looking for a used one tring to save 50 bucks or so, i know a new one is only like $120 from TSC but hey i'm cheap (i prefer thrifty).
