Looks great on your BX. You are on the way to pimping up the BX.:D

However, is my eyes deceiveing me or is the rear tire is nearly about to rub the plastic fender ?

Actually, you have about an inch and a half of clearance. They are fine.
Second, those are metal fenders on Thunder. :D:D

Man, where's the Armor All for those tires?

radioman,
So good to hear from you ole friend. Man oh man do I love that word "pimping". Some guys do crazy things with their pick-up trucks and some guys do some crazy things in general but this is what I wanted from Kubota in the very beginning. I love the 1860 model but hated the front pancake rims and it took an ole timer like bpfick to spell it out for me. bpflick is correct in saying there's more room between the rear larger tire and rear fender. I know it looks close but there's plenty of room for mud and snow. :D :D :D

bpfick,
I'm going to clean them up tomorrow with some armor-all and post them on craigslist. I got so excited about installing them all by my lonesome self I just wanted to take a few immediate photos. Of course, I'm not going to post the one showing the rear rims installed backwards (officer mentality I know but I'm trying). :) :) :)

Wow, what a big difference. Makes MT look like a whole new tractor. I had to look back at the old pictures to note the difference and was quite surprised.

Wow, those tires and rims sure make a big difference. Looks really nice.
I gotta agree with radioman though, the tread on those back tires are sure close to the fenders. Looks closer than a half inch to me.

Mark, I have done this too. The flared shoulder of the R4 gives that illusion in the photos that isn't there in real life. I was originally prepared to reshape the tin on that particular fender area, if need be, to gain yet another inch, but in spite of the photo angles, there is over an inch clearance. No problems. I have put 12 hours, in the dirt, on mine since and no issues at all. This photo is better, but still the black back ground makes it very hard to see that there is over an inch of clean air there. I think some B and perhaps even some L models have clearances to inner fender walls ?? that are comparable.

I agree that yours look like there is an inch of clearance between the tread and fender. MT's clearance is probably just an illusion of the angle of the photo. You must admit though, that there looks to be a pretty big difference in the clearance in your photos compared to missourithunder's.
Tires and rims look great regardless, if the clearance is close it'll just keep the mud off the tires:D

Good one Mark. Yeah, if it's an issue, the mud will reshape that little spot anyhow. Kinda like water seeking its own level. tee hee.:D

There is another inch to be gained by just continuing the radius of the metal curve there. Frankly, it would look great. But, again, there is no need. Also, I believe the R4s are the largest. An R1 or turf would not even be this close.

Another explanation, Mark, might be that MT has his R4's all pimped up, er, pumped up with like 80 lbs. to make them look even bigger. :D:D
