NH 1530 hydraulic leak - Help!

I have a New Holland T1530 with a slow hydraulic leak out of the back near the PTO. This tractor was my late father's and he appears to have stuck a cork in the hole that was leaking. this tractor is not close to me, so I can only offer this photo of the cork/location. What is supposted to be in the hole, if anything? Hopefully, a fellow New Holland Boomer series owner can help me out. I have already called the local dealer and he has no drawings of this side of the housing, so he wasn't able to help.

Interesting ..I can add much other than it appears to me to be some sort of adjustment, and the "nut" is to lock it into position .
Lets see what the others think.

I'm pretty sure the cork, nut and screw do not belong there and are just a quick patch for the leak. The question is whether a hydraulic plug(and what size?) or something else is supposed to go in there. Maybe nothing but some sort of pressed-in plug belongs there. I would really like to hear from other T15XX series owners with what their tractors have at that location.

I guess a follow up question is: It this tractor SAE or Metric?

Metric. But I question that it is a T1530. If it were, it would have a black chassis, not gray. And if it were truly a T1530, it would be fully covered under warranty, as that model has been out less than a year. This is clearly a gray chassis New Holland with some experience.

I agree it could be some sort of plug that seals with the adjustment to the screw center and the nut. Much like the rubber ones they make with a wing nut on them for plumbing applications

I know what is in there. It's a patch for what is supposed to go there. The question is: What is really supposed to be there?

It's about a 10 year old tractor and the label says T1530.

Further investigation...

Label says T1530, hood says T1530, but this tractor matches the drawings and specs on the New Holland site for a 1530 (no T) tractor. Dealerships can't seem to help. The drawings on the NH website don't show this face of the rear transmission case. Have put a request for info directly to New Holland and will wait and see. I suspect there should be an oil seal, something to hold it in and a cover in that hole, but the exploded drawings don't show the hole.

I may just have to make a better plug on my own. The hole is not threaded.

Maybe bolt in the hole just above the plug could hold a homemade plug inside, but... I can't find any drawings indicating what size threads those are. I tried M16 bolt and it goes in about 2 turns only.

If that's like a 3/4" hole you may be able to find a compression-type repair oil pan drain plug that might fit it. They stay in pretty snug.

Ok; went and looked at my 10 year old tc29. It has same setup as yours. Where your leak is, used to be a pressed seal from factory.
Part you are looking for may be SBA322140280
