...Not that if it were chain driven I'd be cleaning the oil & dirt from it,...
For some reason I can relate, and I'm sure most of us can:) How many times did we get our pant cuff caught up in the chain & sprocket of our Bicycles;) sometime we could free it up ourselfs, and sometimes we just sit there on the bike seat as though nothing happen awaiting for someone to come along to help out  the only thing got hurt was our Butts when Mom found the legs of our pants ripped up as she was doing laundry,
Ya'll lighten up dudes! We all are conditioned for accidents from the time we were born:rolleyes: some of us just take longer to grow out of it:D

a certain mower manufacture was sued becasue the owners manaul did not say you can't use your push mower to trim hedges. Two guys one on each side picked up the push mower and proceeded to trim the hedges. Both lost a few fingers. They were also of the leagl profession.

THis same plant was also sued and lost becasue the Idiot lables were only good for 6 years and the exspected life of the mower was 8. they now impress all the safety warnings into the palstic.

Don't think that any of you are immune to an accident, whether it is your fault or others. The guy with the gloved hand that was split open by hydraulic fluid assumed that things were good. Being more aware helps a little.

I can relate to the chain accident to some degree. When I was younger, I was lubing my chain on my MC, and turning the wheel with my right hand and lubing the chain with my left hand, and I thought I was doing a good job until I rolled my finger into the sprocket, and the spoke on the sprocket punched a hole through my finger nail, and it hurt like he**. Then, I had to reverse the wheel and pull my finger out, and then the blood starting gushing out of my finger. Went to the Emergency room, and they cleaned it up and essentially did nothing, the bleeding had slowed down, and they took X-rays, and sent me home and told me to take some aspirin. Throbbed all night long, and I called the clinic, and had them looked at the X-rays more closely, and determined that the spoke had chipped the tip on the bone in the finger, so gave me some heavy duty pain killers. Today, you can not tell my finger ever went into a chain.
